About Fog and Bubbles

From “Blah” to “Ahhh!”: Attention-Grabbing Event and Party Accessories

Are you planning a wedding, birthday party, dance, concert, show, or other special event? There are a lot of options out there that can help you create the perfect mood. Show your guests a good time and make sure your event stands out from the rest with these party-enhancing tools.

Fog Machines

Created in the 1970’s, fog machines use pressure to vaporize liquids – creating an effect similar to smoke or fog. Back in the days of disco, fog machines helped audiences see colored and moving lights at concerts and dance clubs. Think about it: If you shine a flashlight into a dark space, you see only a very small area where the light is pointed. But, if you were to shine that flashlight outside on a foggy night, the light would be broken up and transmitted by the fog, creating a much wider viewing area. This is the same principle behind fog machines. Though primarily used in clubs and concerts, a fog machine is a good idea for any place that uses moving, colored lights for dancing. Combined with groovy colored lights, fog adds excitement and ambience to an otherwise bare dance floor and allows dancers to do the funky chicken behind a sexy screen of smoke.

Bubble Machines

Conjure up memories of summer days from childhood by adding bubbles to your next event. Bubble machines bring an element of whimsy and sophistication to any occasion. Popular for weddings, bubble machines use regular dish soap to create a delicate layer of surprise on your big day. But don’t wait too long – you’ll be hard pressed to find a bubble machine during the May and June wedding season. Although bubble machines work best for outdoor events, they can put a little pop in indoor events, too. An insider’s tip: To avoid slick spots when using these machines indoors, turn the machine off every five to ten seconds. By alternating use, you can control the amount of bubbles produced, avoiding potentially harmful buildup on slippery floors. For a little extra flair at your parties, consider the charms of fog and bubble machines. Your guests will appreciate the extra effort, and you’ll be guaranteed to have the smash-hit event of the season.
