Store Policies

Sales Tax

We are required to collect 8.25% sales tax from all customers in Texas. If you live outside of Texas, or we ship your product to a location outside of Texas, we are NOT required to collect sales tax on your purchase. Tax Exempt customers must call in their orders and provide proof of TAX EXEMPT status.

Payment Terms

We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Pre-payment by Cashiers Check or Bank Wire. All other checks and forms of payment must clear with our bank before we can ship the product. Pay-Pal can only be used with orders taken over the phone. Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice.

Cash & Credit Card Refunds Due to the nature of our business, we do not offer cash or credit card refunds. We will gladly take back any stock Item for any reason within 30 days of purchase (if returned in new condition with new box, all accessories and packing), and issue a merchandise store credit (less original cost of shipping for standard, freight line and “free shipping” offers). A Re-Stocking Fee may apply.

Shipping Policy

FamousStages.com has the easiest and most straight forward shipping policy in the industry.

All credit card orders will be shipped to the billing address unless an alternate address is listed with the credit card.

If you wish to ship to an alternate address please contact your banks customer service number located on the back of the card and request they “list” the address. Then contact us to assist in performing a merchant verification. This only takes about 5 minutes on the phone.

If your billing address is a P.O. Box please contact us prior to placing your FIRST order to perform the same merchant verification process above.

Free shipping AND shopping cart calculated rates apply only to the 48 contiguous states.

Free standard Ground shipping via UPS applies to any order with a product total of over $175, (excluding polished aluminum trussing, related accessories and products).

Standard shipping rates apply if product total is under $99.

Polished aluminum trussing orders ship free if the product total is over $3,000 OR a flat rate of $199 if the product total is over $175 and under $3,000.00.

NOTE: COST OF SHIPPING YOUR ORDER IS LESS THAN STANDARD UPS, FedEx, or DHL RATES. TRUCK RATES ALSO AVAILABLE. WE DO NOT CHARGE A HANDLING FEE.

Warranty & Returns

Returns

The first step is to call 281 248-8660 for an RA#. All returns must include the original box and packaging as well as all cables, accessories, instruction manuals and warranty registration cards. Upon receiving the returned item, a store credit will be issued to your account (less cost of shipping). Any items received without a Return Authorization will be refused by our receiving department. All items must be double-boxed to ensure that we receive the item in good condition.Do not mark on the original manufacturers box.

There is no credit for shipping fees when returning an item for store credit or exchange, including fees incurred by FamousStages.com as a result of the “free shipping” guidelines. Items that can not be returned include music, software, light bulbs, and all fluids.  All returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge if new and a 30% restocking charge (less cost of shipping) if used or not in new condition (including manufacturers boxes).

Warranty For Defective Merchandise

Should a defect occur during the warranty period, manufacturer agrees to repair defective units or parts with new or factory rebuilt materials without charge for either parts or labor. Replacement units or parts are warranted for the remaining portion of the original warranty period.

This warranty does not cover installation or damage resulting from accident, misuse or abuse, improper wiring, incorrect voltage, or any product which has been opened, altered or tampered with in any way.

This warranty does not cover the cost of shipping the item back to the manufacturer or High Energy Lighting/CheapLights.com for repair.

This warranty does not apply to bulbs, fluids, music, software, fuses, triac's, relays, cleaning or adjustments, elimination of static or other electrical or magnetic interference's or labor cost of removal or installation.

 

Stage Ape: 1 year defect warranty on LED's and 6 months on all other parts.

SpeakerMax or Monster Truss products, 6 Month Defect Warranty (except woofers, horn drivers, crossovers. These are not covered because of the common occurrence of misuse)

Demo/B-Stock is guaranteed to work on arrival.

Any and ALL manufacturers other than those listed above offer their own warranty. The customer must contact that manufacturer to obtain an RMA # as per the manufacturers individual Warranty & Return Policies and those items can not be returned to Famous Stages.

The defective item must be shipped in all original packaging and a Return Authorization number (RA#) must be obtained. The first step is to call our repair department at 281-248-8660 for instructions. Some products will be shipped to High Energy Lighting and others will be shipped to the manufacturer.

Important information if you need to return an item. Any item returned scratched or damaged in any way, including manufacturers box, will not be replaced.

#1.) Call for a “Return Authorization number”. *No boxes will be accepted without an R.A.#.*

#2.) Pack the item in all “original” manufacturers packing material including manufacturers box. “Both the item and it's box must look new when returned.*

#3.) Do not mark on or use duct tape or masking tape to seal manufacturers box.

#4.) Place this box inside another larger box for shipping. It is your responsibility to make sure you packed the item sufficiently to prevent damage during transportation. “Insure the box for it's value to protect you in case of loss or damage.*

#5.) Call us for instructions regarding where the product should be returned: To Manufacturer or to High Energy. If returning to us, address the outer (larger) box to High Energy Lighting as follows: (PLEASE remember to check bulbs and fuses first)

Please take time to double check an item before returning it. 9 out of 10 items returned are not defective when we test them. High Energy Lighting offers the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of High Energy Lighting products within the period covered.

 

 

 

Under no circumstances will High Energy Lighting be liable for any expenses incurred by reason of use or sale of this product. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied including any implied warranty of merchant-ability or fitness for a particular use or otherwise.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights which may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the limitation or exclusion of incidental or or consequential damages, so the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.

FamousStages.com respects your privacy and we are committed to protecting it. Please read this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) to learn more about the manner in which we collect and use information that is generated when you visit FamousStages.com. If you visit the Site and/or choose to create an account and/or place an order with us, we have designed our system to protect your privacy.
