How to Construct a Global Truss 19' x 19' x 18.04' Multi-Tower Ground Support System

Emmanuel Josue

When it comes to big productions, you need big gear. Whether you’re building a concert stage truss, a DJ lighting truss rig, or a trade show booth truss setup that commands attention, the Global Truss 19' x 19' x 18.04' Multi-Tower Ground Support System is the powerhouse structure that gets it done.

This system is built for serious event professionals who need reliability, safety, and that clean polished look only aluminum truss and professional stage trussing can provide. Let’s walk through exactly how to assemble this impressive system—step by step.

Materials Included in Each Tower

Each of the 4 towers comes with:

  • 1x 44BS-1 – Ground Support Base

  • 4x GT-492145-1 – Outrigger with Stabilizer Arm

  • 1x GT-BLOCK – Sleeve Block

  • 1x GT-TOP/CM – Top for Chain Motor

  • 2x SHACKLE 5/8 – 5/8-inch Steel Shackle (Max Load 3-1/4 Tons)

  • 1x WIREROPE9 – 9 FT. Round Sling with Aircraft Cable Inside

  • 2x HINGE/M12-L/88MM – Left 88mm Hinge

  • 2x HINGE/M12-R/88MM – Right 88mm Hinge

  • 1x Global Truss SQ-4110 12" Aluminum Box Truss 1.64 ft.

  • 2x Global Truss SQ-4113 12" Aluminum Box Truss 8.2 ft.

For the top rectangular structure (that connects all four towers):

  • 8x Global Truss SQ-4113 12" Aluminum Box Truss 8.2 ft. (2 per side, connected by GT-BLOCK Sleeve Blocks at the four corners).

(Note: The CHAIN HOIST30 – 1 Ton, 30 ft. Manual Chain Hoist is usually included, but is currently out of stock and not part of this package.)

Step 1: Setting the Foundation

Every great stage truss system starts from the ground up.

  1. Place a 44BS-1 Ground Support Base at each corner of your 19' x 19' footprint.

  2. Attach the GT-492145-1 Outriggers with Stabilizer Arms to each base. These keep your towers stable and prevent unwanted wobbles as the system goes vertical.

This base setup ensures your lighting truss structure will remain steady once the towers and top frame are lifted.

Step 2: Building the Towers

Here’s how to build each tower to full 18.04 ft. height:

  1. Place the 1.64 ft. Global Truss SQ-4110 aluminum box truss vertically on top of the base.

  2. Slide the GT-BLOCK Sleeve Block down over this 1.64 ft. truss section. This piece is crucial—it’s what connects your tower to the top truss square later.

  3. On top of the 1.64 ft. truss (inside the sleeve block), connect your hinges (2x left + 2x right, 88mm). These allow you to tilt the tower safely when raising it.

  4. Stack two 8.2 ft. Global Truss SQ-4113 aluminum box trusses above the hinges to build height.

  5. Cap it all with the GT-TOP/CM Top for Chain Motor.

Now you’ve got one completed 18.04 ft. stage truss tower. Repeat for all four corners.

Step 3: Building the Top Horizontal Truss Square

Before raising the towers upright, assemble the top structure on the ground:

  • Lay out two 8.2 ft. trusses per side (8 total) to form a 19' x 19' square.

  • Connect each side at the corners using the GT-BLOCK Sleeve Blocks on the towers.

  • Once connected, you’ve got your complete top horizontal lighting truss frame, ready to fly.

This is the part that will hold your DJ truss lighting, LED walls, or banners—making your setup look as professional as it gets.

Step 4: Raising the System

Now it’s time for the lift!

  1. With enough crew support, tilt each tower upright using the hinges for controlled movement.

  2. Lock the towers in place and make sure the outriggers with stabilizer arms are firmly tightened.

  3. Use your shackles and 9 ft. round sling for safe rigging connections.

  4. If you have a chain motor (or manual chain hoist), connect it to the GT-TOP/CM and raise the sleeve blocks, lifting the entire top square to your desired height.

At this point, your multi-tower ground support stage truss system is standing strong and ready for action.

How to Assemble a Global Truss 20.64’ x 20.64’ x 19.68’ Multi-Tower Ground Support System

Emmanuel Josue

If you’re in the live production, trade show, or entertainment world, you know that a strong and reliable stage truss system is the backbone of any event. The Global Truss 20.64’ x 20.64’ Multi-Tower Ground Support System is one of the most versatile solutions for creating a safe, professional structure that can hold lighting, video walls, banners, and sound equipment. In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how to assemble this lighting truss system from the ground up—no shortcuts, just the full process with all the right parts.

Whether you’re setting up a DJ truss for a festival, a trade show booth truss for an expo, or a display booth truss for a corporate event, this build is your foundation for success.

Materials Needed (Per Tower)

Each of the four towers in this global truss ground support system requires the following components:

  • 1x CHAIN HOIST30 – 1 Ton, 30 ft. Manual Chain Hoist (currently out of stock, excluded from total package price)
  • 1x 44BS-1 – Ground Support Base
  • 4x GT-492145-1 – Outrigger with Stabilizer Arm
  • 1x GT-BLOCK – Sleeve Block (1.3 ft square)
  • 1x GT-TOP/CM – Top for Chain Motor
  • 2x SHACKLE 5/8 – 5/8-inch Steel Shackle (Max Load 3-1/4 Tons)
  • 1x WIREROPE9 – 9 ft. Round Sling with Aircraft Cable Inside
  • 2x HINGE/M12-L/88MM – Left 88mm Hinge for Ground Support System
  • 2x HINGE/M12-R/88MM – Right 88mm Hinge for Ground Support System

Top Horizontal Trusses

  • 8x Global Truss F34 12" Aluminum Box Truss 9.02 ft. (2 for each side connected in between GT-BLOCKs)

Step-by-Step Assembly Guide

Step 1: Position the Bases

Lay out your 44BS-1 Ground Support Bases in a square formation, approximately 20.64 ft x 20.64 ft apart. This defines the footprint of your system. Attach the GT-492145-1 Outriggers with Stabilizer Arms to each base. These stabilizers are critical to keeping your stage trussing safe and steady.

Step 2: Build the First Section of Each Tower

On top of each base, connect a 1.64 ft F34 aluminum truss. This short segment acts as the starter section. Next, slide the GT-BLOCK Sleeve Block over the 1.64 ft truss. The block will eventually support and raise your lighting truss grid.

Step 3: Add Hinges and Vertical Trusses

Attach the M12 Left and Right Hinges on top of the 1.64 ft truss. Once the hinges are secured, connect two 9.02 ft F34 truss segments vertically above them. This forms the main tower shaft.

Step 4: Cap the Towers

Place the GT-TOP/CM Top for Chain Motor at the upper end of each tower. This piece allows you to safely attach your chain hoists and rigging equipment. Add the shackles and round sling where needed for motor and load attachment.

Each tower should now stand approximately 19.68 ft tall, giving you the required working height for your horizontal grid.

Global Truss 20.64’ x 20.64’ x 19.68’ Multi-Tower Ground Support System - Four Towers

Step 5: Assemble the Top Horizontal Truss Grid

On the ground, pre-build the square top frame using:

  • Two F34 9.02 ft truss segments per side
  • Connected in the middle by a GT-BLOCK Sleeve Block (1.3 ft square)

This configuration gives each side a total length of 20.64 ft, resulting in a perfect square truss grid measuring 20.64 ft x 20.64 ft.

Global Truss 20.64’ x 20.64’ x 19.68’ Multi-Tower Ground Support System - Horizontal Square Truss

Step 6: Lift and Secure the Grid

With the help of your crew and chain hoists, attach the horizontal grid to each GT-BLOCK on the towers. Use the chain motors (when available) or manual hoists to carefully raise the grid to your desired height. Make sure all corners are level and locked in place.

Optional (Currently Out of Stock):

  • 1 Ton Manual Chain Hoist (30 ft) or Electric Chain Hoist

Step 1: Preparing the Ground Support Bases

  1. Lay out the four 44BS-1 bases in a square configuration measuring roughly 15.72 ft x 15.72 ft.

  2. Ensure the bases are level, stable, and positioned correctly.

  3. Attach the outriggers with stabilizer arms (GT-492145-1) to each base. These provide essential balance and safety.

Step 2: Building the Towers

  1. Insert a 1.64 ft Global Truss Box Truss vertically into each base.

  2. Slide the GT-Sleeve Block over the 1.64 ft truss so it can move freely up and down later.

  3. Attach the hinges (HINGE/M12-L/88MM and HINGE/M12-R/88MM) on top of the 1.64 ft truss.

  4. Secure a 13.12 ft Global Truss Box Truss above the hinges, locking it into place. This creates the full 14.76 ft tower height with the pivot point for safe erection.

  5. Mount the GT-TOP/CM (Top for Chain Motor) on top of each vertical truss.

Now, each tower is:
Base → 1.64 ft truss → hinges → 13.12 ft truss → sleeve block → top for chain motor.

Global Truss GT1476 Ground Support System (14.76 ft Towers + 15.72 ft x 15.72 ft Top Truss) four towers

Step 3: Assembling the Top Horizontal Truss Grid

  1. On the ground, use four 13.12 ft F34 trusses as sides in a square.

    • Each side = 13.12 ft.  These are connected to the four corners of the GT-Blocks-Sleeve Blocks(1.3 ft square blocks each.)

    • Total square size = 15.72 ft x 15.72 ft (with Sleeve Blocks as connectors).

  2. Use conical couplers, pins, and safety clips to ensure secure, load-rated connections.

  3. This square grid will be lifted later to sit at the top with the four sleeve blocks.

Step 4: Attaching the Horizontal Trusses to the Towers

  1. Position the horizontal truss grid near the bases of the towers.

  2. Connect each 13.12 ft Box Truss to the GT-Sleeve Block on each tower.

  3. Ensure all four sleeve blocks are properly pinned to the corners of the truss grid.

Step 5: Lifting the Structure

  1. Normally, a 1 Ton Manual or Electric Chain Hoist (30 ft) would be used to lift the top grid. (Currently out of stock, but must be factored into your future setup).

  2. The hoists attach to the GT-TOP/CM at each tower.

  3. Carefully raise the horizontal top grid to the desired working height.

  4. Once raised, lock the sleeve blocks into place with the proper safety pins.

Time to bring this baby to life! Secure each 8.2 ft Global Truss F34 Box Truss vertically onto your base plates, locking them into the junction blocks. That’s 8 posts in total.

Pro tip: Have a buddy (or three) help you lift and steady while you bolt everything down. Stage trussing may look lightweight, but safety is key.

Global Truss 4.23' x 34.96' x 10.1' Curved Back Wall with 18.3' x 18.3' Center Booth Vertical Posts

Step 3: Build the Curved Back Wall

This is where the “wow factor” starts.

  • On the left wing, connect two 1/4 Arc SQ-C2-90 trusses (top & bottom) between Post 1 and Post 2.

  • On the right wing, repeat with two more 1/4 Arc trusses between Post 5 and Post 6.

Next, add the 4.10 ft F34 Box Trusses (top & bottom) between Post 2 and Post 3, and again between Post 4 and Post 5.

Finally, connect your vertical Posts 3 and 4 with 8.2 ft F34 trusses (top & bottom) to finish off the back wall span.

You now have a smooth, professional curved back wall that stretches almost 35 feet across.

Global Truss 4.23' x 34.96' x 10.1' Curved Back Wall with 18.3' x 18.3' Center Booth curved back wall only

Step 4: Assemble the Center Booth

Now let’s create the 18.3’ x 18.3’ booth structure inside the wall.

  • Connect Post 3 to Post 4 (back of the booth) using two 8.2 ft F34 trusses (top & bottom).

  • Move to the front: connect Post 7 to Post 8 with another 8.2 ft truss on top.

  • For the sides, link Post 3 to Post 7 and Post 4 to Post 8 using 8.2 ft trusses on top.

This gives you a solid, square center booth—perfect for banners, lighting truss mounts, DJ setups, or display walls.

  • Global Truss ST-UJB/C-12 1/2 Coupler with Alien Bolt (4 Pack) - 12  pcs.

Step 1: Lay the Foundation

Every strong stage truss system starts at the ground. Place your Global Truss SQ-4137 base plates where each vertical post will stand—Posts 1 through 8.

Think of this like planting the cornerstones of a house. Once your bases are squared away, mount each vertical F34 8.2 ft truss upright onto the plates. These lighting truss posts will be the backbone of your structure.

At this point, your eight posts are standing tall and proud, ready to be connected.

Step 2: Add the Junction Blocks

Attach ST-UJB-12 junction blocks at the top and bottom of each post. These blocks are the connectors that make this modular aluminum truss system possible.

This step ensures your dj truss and booth sections will be rock-solid once the rest of the aluminum lighting trussing is in place.

Step 3: Build the Curved Back Wall

Start by connecting the 1/4 Arc SQ-C2-90 trusses between:

  • Post 1 and Post 2 (top and bottom) – forming the left curved wing.

  • Post 5 and Post 6 (top and bottom) – forming the right curved wing.

Now add the F34 4.10 ft trusses:

  • Between Post 2 and Post 3 (top and bottom).

  • Between Post 4 and Post 5 (top and bottom).

Finally, connect Posts 3 and 4 at the back using two 8.2 ft trusses on top and bottom.

Boom—you’ve now created the stunning curved back wall structure with professional-grade stage trussing.

Global Truss 4.23' x 34.96' x 10.1' Curved Back Wall with 10.1' x 18.3' Center Booth curved back wall only

Step 4: Assemble the Center Booth

Next, let’s make that 10.1' x 18.3' center booth.

  • Place Posts 7 and 8 parallel in the front section of the booth.

  • Connect the top front truss (8.2 ft) across Posts 7 and 8.

  • Add the side trusses (one left, one right, 8.2 ft each) connecting back to Posts 3 and 4.

  • Finally, connect another pair of 8.2 ft trusses across the back of the booth (between Posts 3 and 4).

At this stage, you’ve got a professional, rigid display booth truss sitting in the middle of your curved wall.

These high-quality aluminum lighting truss components create a strong, lightweight, and professional display booth truss perfect for trade shows, DJ setups, and conventions.

Step-by-Step Assembly

Step 1: Lay the Foundation

Place all Global Truss SQ-4137 Base Plates where each vertical post will stand. Layout:

  • Posts 1 & 2: left curved wing
  • Posts 3 & 4: left side of center booth
  • Posts 5 & 6: right curved wing
  • Posts 7 & 8: right side of center booth

Accurate placement ensures your stage trussing setup is stable and ready for assembly.

Step 2: Build the Vertical Posts

Attach a Global Truss ST-UJB-12 Junction Block to each base plate. Connect one Global Truss F34 Box Truss 8.2 ft vertically and cap with another junction block. Repeat for all eight posts.

Now you have a solid skeleton for your stage truss system, ready to support lighting and displays.

Materials You’ll Need

For this 20x20 ft booth with a 10 ft height and a center circle of 7.51 ft diameter, gather the following:

1.   1 SQ-C2-90 6.56 ft (4 Arcs center circle with N-S-E-W ST-UJB-12 - 0.95’)

2.    4 pcs. 4.92’ Box Truss  ( connected to the N-E-S-W ST-UJB-12 0f the Central Circle)

3.    4 pcs. 9.02 ft Box Truss (Vertical Posts)

4      8 pcs. ST-UJB-12 (4 pcs on top of the vertical posts; 4 pcs. in between the 4 arcs of SQ-C2-90)

5.    4 pcs.  SQ-4137 Base Plates

6.    4 pcs. Global Truss ST-UJB/C-12 1/2 Coupler with Alien Bolt (4 Pack)

Step 1: Build the 7.51 ft Center Circle

Start your assembly by constructing the eye-catching center circle using the SQ-C2-90 6.56 ft curved truss pieces.

  • Connect the four arc sections together using four ST-UJB-12 junction blocks positioned between each arc segment.

  • This forms a smooth circular truss with a 7.51 ft diameter — a perfect centerpiece for your booth or stage.

This circle is not only stunning but also a strong support frame for lighting or banners hung from above.

Step 2: Attach the Four 4.92 ft Box Trusses

Now, take your four 4.92 ft aluminum box trusses and connect each one to the North, East, South, and West ST-UJB-12 junction blocks of the center circle.

  • These straight truss sections extend outward from the circle and will serve as connectors to your vertical posts.

  • Make sure each connection is tight and secure — safety first!

Step 3: Erect the Vertical Posts

Grab the four 9.02 ft box trusses to serve as your vertical posts.

  • Attach each vertical post to the end of the 4.92 ft trusses you connected to the center circle.

  • Secure the top of each vertical post with a ST-UJB-12 junction block.

  • Connect these top horizontal structure to the tops of the vertical posts to lock the structure together and maintain stability.

  • This completes the signature 20x20x10 ft booth truss frame with the central circular highlight.

Let’s Create a Global Truss F34 27’x27’x10’ Circular Dome Booth — The Ultimate Dome to Dominate Your Next Show!

Emmanuel Josue

If you're ready to make jaws drop and cameras click, then say hello to the Global Truss F34 27’x27’x10’ Circular Dome Booth — the kind of structure that screams “centerpiece” at any trade show, festival, DJ event, or brand activation! Built with precision-engineered aluminum truss elements, this dome blends strength, style, and speedy setup all in one mighty impressive package.

Whether you're an event producer, DJ, exhibitor, or lighting designer, this truss booth will elevate your presence — literally and figuratively. And guess what? Building this dome is easier than you think. Let’s walk through the step-by-step, coffee-in-hand, wrench-in-pocket!

🛠 Materials You’ll Need to Build the Dome:

  • 1 pc SQ-C2-90 Circular Truss 6.56’ diameter (made of 4 pcs. 1/4 arc segments)
  • 4 pcs ST-UJB-12 Universal Junction Blocks (these will go between the arcs like compass points at North, East, South, West)
  • 1 pc SQ-C6-45 Circular Truss 19.68’ diameter (8 pcs. 1/8 arc segments; these will form the vertical legs)
  • 4 pcs SQ-4137 Heavy-duty base plates to anchor the legs of the dome
  • 4 pcs. Global Truss ST-UJB/C-12 1/2 Coupler with Alien Bolt (4 Pack)

This setup uses Global Truss F34 — known for its durability, modular flexibility, and professional-grade engineering that’s trusted by the pros across the entertainment world.

🔧 Step 1: Let’s Build the Heart — The Inner Circle (SQ-C2-90)

Start by forming your central circular truss using the 4 pcs of 1/4 arc segments from the SQ-C2-90 kit. Lay them flat on the ground to form a clean circle.

Now, here’s the pro move: insert the ST-UJB-12 universal junction blocks between each 1/4 arc segment. These junction blocks go at the North, East, South, and West positions — creating four evenly spaced anchor points around the circle.

These blocks are where the vertical magic begins — so make sure they’re tightly secured!

Global Truss F34 27’x27’x10’ Circular Dome Booth top center circle

🏗 Step 2: Let’s Rise — Building the Vertical Arcs (SQ-C6-45)

Time to add some drama (and height)! You’ll be using the SQ-C6-45 circular truss kit, which includes 8 pcs of 1/8 arc segments.

Here’s how to use them:

  • Pair two 1/8 arc segments vertically to form one tall arc leg. Do this 4 times.
  • Each arc leg will connect into the ST-UJB-12 blocks you just placed at N, E, S, and W on the center circle.

These arc legs will begin to rise up and out — forming a dome-like curve. The symmetry is stunning, and the structure? Rock solid!

Global Truss F34 27’x27’x10’ Circular Dome Booth 4 arc legs

Step 3: Anchor It All — Install the Base Plates (SQ-4137)

Each arc leg ends at the ground level. Now it’s time to lock in the stability with the SQ-4137 base plates.

Position a base plate directly under each of the four arc legs and securely bolt them in. Not only do these steel base plates add weight and strength, but they also give your dome that "I'm not going anywhere" level of security — crucial for any indoor or outdoor event.

Pro tip: Add sandbags or concrete weights to the base plates for even more wind resistance in outdoor setups.
